SMUGGLERS COVE HIKE
The drive to the trail start is about one hour from the Cedar Rose. It is a lovely hike that includes both coastal views and lush rainforest. There are at least two places to swim for those who don't need a sandy entry. The trail ends at a bay opening into the Strait of Georgia. This is a wonderful location to watch the tugboats, sailboats and enjoy the local marine life. Seals are often seen popping out of the water, disappearing than reappearing next to a different rock. The hike is considered easy with a few hand built stairs, some loose gravel, and a few slightly uphill portions. Time includes travel, lunch stop (bring picnic lunch), and hiking.
4 hours $79.00 per person

CLIFF GILKER PARK HIKE
Cliff Gilker Park is a lovely easy hike in the rainforest only 20 minutes from the Cedar Rose. Cascading waterfalls, and rushing creeks with crystal clear water can be seen and are more dramatic during early spring and autumn. This hike is lovely any time of year. There are several benches perched high above the creek and little falls, so it is a meditative relaxing wander. Your host would be delighted to show you this area.
